Every time we lie
I feel a little warm inside
Every time we kiss
I feel excited (Like this, like this)
Everything is strange again
My words float slowly past your head
Everything is sane again
I don’t like it! I don’t like it!
(Why don’t I show you this?) I don’t like it!
(Why don’t I show you this?) I won’t try it!
(Why don’t I show you this?) I don’t like it! I won’t try it! I can’t fight it!
Why don’t I show you this?
Every time we lie
I feel a little warm inside
Every time we kiss
I feel excited (Like this, like this)
Everything is strange again
My words float slowly past your head
Everything is sane again
I don’t like it! I don’t like it!
(Why don’t I show you this?) I don’t like it!
(Why don’t I show you this?) I won’t try it!
(Why don’t I show you this?) I can’t fight it!
Why don’t I show you this?
The sort of music that is beyond time.
The sort of music that you feel more than you hear.
I love the fact that vaporwave/dreampunk projects like these have such extremely evocative aesthetics they directly fill your mind with sensations you didn't know you had. You'd maybe think it relies on that solely, but it's coupled with gorgeous musicianship + intense production ideas. The volume and spaces it creates just pull you in instantly whatever your initial mood was.
Still stunning to this day. SUPRAQUENCER
The soaring arcs of post-rock, the punchy rhythms of post-hardcore, and the jagged lines of post-punk all join on the latest from Aversions. Bandcamp New & Notable May 2, 2023
An explosive, ennui-laden EP from Vancouver band Aversions, contrasting jittery post-punk melodies with muscular hardcore breakdowns. Bandcamp New & Notable Jan 19, 2022
Terrific, marauding post-punk that will thrill fans of Idles with its pairing of cutting riffs and wry spoken/sung lyrics. Bandcamp New & Notable Mar 26, 2022
A fairly recent discovery for me. Mr Fitness is pretty much a one man band with some added percussion. He’s engaging, quirky and produces quite a fine post punk styled racket… Mt.Vic.Matt
